It is obvious, that Democracy as a system has problems. And I say that as someone, who likes the idea of personal freedom. I had an idea for a crystaline Alien race after looking up the Shroud on the GreyGoo Wiki. It is an Alien race that looks like humanoid deer made from translucent silvery-blue-ish crystal. They look like deer because of the "antlers" on their heads, which are infact a complex array of crystals that they use for hearing AND communicating. They vibrate the Antler-crystals to produce certain frequencies that sound like music or the song of a whale. Psychic Mutants are highly respected among them, because these "Speakers" are the only ones that can communicate with other aliens. Also if they get pissed they can supercharge their antlers to produce harmful sonicwaves. They do not eat, they are autotroph. They absorb sunlight with their crystaline skin and it nurishes them. I wondered what created these new conspiry-theories and the resulting rise of people like Trump and MAGA, or AfD in germany. Originally I thought it was just a failure of the so-called established media. The media that should report on certain cirticle things, does not report on said things, so poeple look elswhere for the information that they want. However if that was the case, then the problem would exist for aslong ad the esteblished media exists. The Wiener Zeitung for exsampel was first published in 1703. I have a question... We call it "Pride-Month" - the month to be proud. Proud to be what? To be Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or "Queer". But since George Carlin we know that "Pride" is reserved for things that you achieved on your own. Do the people that "celebrate" Pride-Month really say, that bein Homosexual is some form of choice? Or even a higher state of being to be worked towards? Because I seem to remember that in defence of Homosexuals it is often said that you are born that way and you can't judge someone for a circumstance of birth. So why "Pride"?
